This notice explains how Croco handles information on learncroco.com and in the Croco iPhone application.
This website
This is an informational brand website. It has no account forms, advertising trackers, analytics scripts or learning-data collection. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical request information such as IP addresses and request times to deliver and secure the website.
Independent learning in the app
Croco stores preferences, lesson checkpoints and progress on your device so the bundled course works offline. When synchronization is available, a separate guest identifier connects your activity to the API. Guest progress is kept separate from signed-in classroom accounts.
Optional accounts and classrooms
Account features use your name, email address, account identifier and session information. If you choose Google sign-in, Google supplies your basic profile and email information. Croco does not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts.
Classroom participation involves storing memberships, assignment answers, grades and teacher feedback. Authorized teachers can view work for classes they manage. Students can access their own results, subject to the assignment’s feedback settings.
Audio and speech
French speech recognition uses supported on-device recognition. Croco requests microphone and speech permission when needed. Lesson recordings and transcripts are not sent to analytics. Text-to-speech playback uses the device’s speech service.
Service providers and security
The online API is hosted by Vercel, with PostgreSQL data stored through Neon. Google handles Google authentication when selected. Online requests use HTTPS. Account credentials and private session information are kept out of public website files.
Your choices
You can use independent guest learning without creating an account. The app offers controls for permissions, reminders, local learning-data export and deletion. Signed-in account settings include account deletion. Classroom records may be retained while needed for teaching and historical work; contact us about a specific record or deletion request.
